Description

I used my 90mm macro lens to see what what on it. I have not used it but one or two times and this day that all I had with my 2x len too to make it into a 180mm lens. I took over 500 photos that day and my battery died on me for I forgot to charge it up the night before. lol I could easy used my whole 4 gig card. I wish to see how good this len is and I need to put together some images to show you all. Come see. I show you many images in the next few days of what it can do. We around here say "come see" and people that is not from this area laff about it but when i go out of the area and hear how people talk I laff at them; so we even. Oh this was taken at that history place here in town[LafayetteA] to show the old ways and how it is. I hear of duck hunters of old makeing wooden ducks to draw in the live ducks . it became a art in it sufe. this one is simple. I saw some the that look real. it blow my mind. I was young at the time and I was not into photos. thanks for looking and comments. lol

Beautiful lighting in this one. It shows wonderful detail in the artistic handy work of carving this decoy. I had an artist friend who used to make these and they are not an easy project, if done right. His were masterpieces.

I like this capture very much, it is gorgeous in its apparent simplicity. My grand-father was a carpenter in a small village along the Swiss borders in France, and as a child I would often visit his workshop and stood there, amazed by his tools and machinery. There was the smell of timber also, that I could recognize anytime...Your capture has brought back all these memories to my mind!

This has got to be one of my most favoritest photos! The DOF is perfect, and I'm fascinated by the roughed-out wood carving. My grandfather used to be an accomplished wood-carver, and I've always loved the tools that go with it. Beautiful shot that brings up warm memories for me!

LOL, I love local word usages! I picked one up from someone older then me, "Peachy keen", and that's my answer when asked "how are you?". This is a wonderful capture, you use those lenses to best advantage!!
