Description

my camera was about to die on me and my knees too. I did not bend down and shot the inside of the flower like this. All I did was get the flower into my photoshop like software and blow it up to 100 per cent. My camera can take jpegs at 3872x2596 pixen dimenions or 12.92x8.64inches . I just crop the bottom image out of the top then to show how clear it was. no tripod so it surpise me. I going back there when I can and make sure the camera is changed. my battera die on me lol. But like I say yesterday I took my 90MM marco len out and just shot with it all day. I still have it on the camera and been shooting some sunsets with it. I know what I read and what Richardphotos commented and he is right. I just doing this to play with and see what what. i did took some shots of trees and shadows and saw a big diff in the shadows . I post that later on. Mircos lens is good to use for flowers I know that. Thinking of buying one of those babylens that have a bellows on it here is the link to it http://www.slrgear.com/reviews/showproduct.php/product/1132/cat/97 or here http://www.imaging-resource.com/ACCS/L3G/LBY3.HTM just a idea I have ;who knows? going to start carrying my small tripod arond too. I use it but when I press the button the camera moves but now I got a remote so i do not have to touch the camera. I know some one say "put the timer on " and but the time the camera clicks the bird would be gone lol. I working it out just like every one else . I not there yet but PJ is right. Look like we all doing better and better

Excellently sharp to say you've blown it up so much. You must have a very steady hand - even taking into account the photodata!

95% of my floral shots are done as a macro. I do a lot of cropping since I get a fairly large number of pixels too and between them I get so much detail. this is really good. 99.9% of my shots are handheld because flowers move as much as people and I often need to get under or behind something where a tripod would never go. I don't bother carrying a tripod for the most part. But I'm always looking for wall, rails, tables, etc. to brace my elbow on, sucking in breath that I hold until I'm blue and locking my thumbs on the sides of my face to get a still shot. There is a real skill in taking non-tripod photos...and you must be physically fit...LOL

You can get some great special effects with the lensbaby but I think a good macro speaks for itself Jock as this image shows

Lovely colors, but I think a tripod would have come in rather handy because of the fuzziness in these macros, Jock. Or maybe it was the 90MM lens that caused it.

Very nice work. My hands are pretty shaky most of the time.....so I need a tripod. Will have to buy another one for me as mines just broke. Aloha
