My favourite in terms of lighting, but then the others had their strengths...

That's an excellent shot. That scene doesn't tend to care much about grace and elegance, but this photo is rich with both. Nice timing!

Yes, the lighting is as startling as the composition. Your stop action is really good. I started working with my shutter speed yesterday. First time. Usually I work with the aperture but I think I have that worked out fairly well now. So, time to move on and learn another feature on my camera. I sure took a lot of unusable stuff yesterday but I'm beginning to get a little idea about what it can do for me. I would like to get to a place where I can balance my lighting and shutter speed to hold the movement as well as this. I think the information on the fill flash might be of great use. :-)
