Description

Just built myself a ringflash as i was intrigued by the lighting possibilities. It pulls no punches this stuff and i love it - flaws and all... obviously brought out in the processing somewhat. You can see all my little imperfections... my eye scar from being a bit too energetic with a guitar being my favourite as most people dont notice it anyway ;) Something rather different from me really as i move towards the area of people photography. Enjoy! Rich NB - oh yeah forgot to say... here is a thread on flickr i used as reference... am yet to make a "spotted" filter for it which would be cool too: Link

I love portrait shots in general, but I love it even more when there is no "photoshop fixups". I love this image mostly for one reason; you EMPHASIZED your flaws. You didnt try and cover anything that would be considered inperfections of a self portrait, instead you just presented the raw, true portrait. A beautiful image, flaws and all.

I glanced at the link and I'll print and read it more tomorrow but it looks intriguing. This is really strange but it keeps my attention. :-)

Totally freaky but truly amazing!! I can't stop looking at it with it's high contrasts and those hypnotic eyes!! Brilliant piece of photography and very brave - I know for sure that if I did one of these of me, I'd be there for hours with the healing tool LOL!! Hugs xx
