Description

I took a drive yesterday .. just to get away .. clear my head a little. The clouds were perfect I thought, for this technique .. maybe i applied it too strong, but then maybe not. I'll let you decide. :) Lay it on me Harry, rip it apart ---- give it all ya got! LOL Seriously, critique always welcome. That's how we learn from each other. Have yourselves a wonderful day, and thank you for stopping by. Shari

Personally I wouldn't change a thing Shari, the sky is very dramatic, the landscape looks beautiful as though the storm as just left and is rolling away. Great image, superb postwork. Bravo!!!!!

I can't agree more with Jeff, superb post work! The color and reflection is a killer component of the dramatic side preventing it to be too dark and somber.

I like it, a pretty dramatic sky, smiliar to a painting!! The artist has to decide about the interpretation.

If you are postworking to create something that is enhanced from the original then you may as well enhance all of it and I think this sky is wonderful and matches what you have on the ground. It is a very eye appealing piece of artwork!

Well I like it very much. Lots of drama. Sometimes we post because we like it. I have one waiting to post that I feel the same way about. So we will see lol.

Wonderful mood only nit pick would be the little bit of foreground with the road but that would have been at composition time not after as the crop would not work.. Always nice to see how tone mapping comes out, and this is very painterly and artistic

Marvelous blanket of clouds cover this magnificent landscape, Sharilyn! The POV, DOF, reflections, stark ambiance, and even the frame are absolutely wonderful! Ya see, I'm not such an old meanie! Sorry to disappoint you. Maybe next time. Having said that, how in the name of all that's sacred can you afford to take a drive considering gas/petrol prices are in the four dollar+ a gallon range? I don't know about Minnesota, but down here in Southern California it's $4.45 a gallon for regular. As for clearing my head, I take a brisk walk, stopping occasionally to snap photos.

Sadly I can't usefully comment on the technique - though I can say the result is tupendous! Mike
