Description
A panoramic view of some mountains located about an hour east of Flagstaff, Arizona. We were traveling east on I-40, and I thought I'd take a chance of capturing the immense open vastness of the area. This is four shots stitched together, taken from the northern side of I-40 looking back northwest.
You can feel incredibly small out there with open horizons 360 degrees. This doesn't even come close to what I was seeing, or feeling, but it's as close as my camera could get.
We're looking at returning to the area, perhaps later this year - maybe next I don't know. But there is so much out there to see! So little time!
Thanks for viewing,
marshall

I have to agree..Once i was in the desert and it was night with just a hint of a moon. I laid down on the top of a sand dune and was blown away! Since i was on my back I blocked out the dune and desert under me. it felt like I was dangling in space. It was so humbling and so silent and peaceful. Your Image does much the same except is earth based and still shows one just how small we truly are in this place! Great work!

Oh dang your thumbnail was sideways, and I was going to say "what a neat idea!" but your picture is the right side up! A great picture anyways, this dessert seems to go on forever! Beautiful shot

That much open space kind of gives me the willies. I'm used to big trees everywhere, and cloudy skies! Great pano, my friend. Nicely done!
