Description
Just to show you what Alan and I had to shoot round to try and get our best shots, Joe Public(not in period dress) Alan and I are classed the same by the way, was all over the place. So some of the time for static displays we could be stood around for ten minutes or more waiting for someone to move away. This is just one platform and we were just pulling in to platform 3. The train was full, platform 3 was full, 4 was half full, the train going to Rawtenstall, that we passed half way was full, plus plenty of people at the other two main stations on the line. This was the quitest day as well, because a lot of people were working the Saturday. I know for a fact Rommell(not sure on spelling) could not attend on the Saturday as he was servicing cars somewhere. Lol. Not much postwork on this apart from highlighting Alan(artaddict2)'s lens in the top right resizing and painting the sky in, it was just burnt white.
Thanks for stopping by for a look see, and for any comments you care to make, thanks also to those that don't have the time to comment, at least you stopped by for a look.
Happy Birthday to PJ(MrsLubner) & Andrea(Durleybeachbum), both young ladies are celebrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great capture Jeff, it sure outlines the popularity of these kind of Live museums for want of a better word, the actraction for the steam age will never die, it could be the year 5530, and there will be a steam loco in all it.s glory, either static or rolling as a working exhibit,(IF we are lucky)...and the other fascination for me is that a child who has never seen one other that a picture can have a toy of an electric or deisel train, and he will still mimick the sounds of a steam loco, choo choo!

Brilliant capture and great perspective Jeff. It was a great idea to take a shot of the whole scene and to let people see how packed out it was! Made me Laugh Out Loud and put a big smile on my face when I saw my lens "ringed" lol. Excellent ! got to be a fave for me. Bravo and a nice bit of postwork to the sky!

These event that you and Alan go to look fabulous!! That a lot of people, Joe Public can be such a pain sometimes >said with tongue firmly planted in cheek< I can see how difficult it must be to take photos. Kudos to you Jeff!!! I wish we had this kind of stuff here in Darkest Africa, and I mean that literally, we don't have enough electricity so we are on something called load sharing, it's a bit like the blackout in the war!!!
