Description
A 605 freeway overpass in Southern California, captured back on 12/17/06, very early in the morning, about 2 miles/3.22 kilometers from my languid lair.
This is a preview into the future after civilization has deteriorated and virtually disappeared from the face of the planet. Barring severe drought conditions, nature will be back in full force. The only nonplant life remaining will be colonies of Mad Max barbarians, night-stalking zombies, packs of feral dogs and cockroaches.
Anyway, the ivy and foliage whatnot shown above has since been cleaned up and the overpass structure is now all neat and tidy.
The happiest of hump days to you all!

I rather prefer it with the ivy and vines! Let the overpasses look to themselves for structural integrity!

Lovely images. Amazing how green it makes everything look:) Maybe a frog green?

What a shame they cleaned up the ivy. I much prefer plant growth to graffiti. Nice shot!

Personally, I like the ivy. This is a wonderful series of shots! It leads my imagination down the garden path, as it were, into that people-free future. Nicely done, my friend!

I like this a lot. Let the plant grow. But I know it will weaken the bridge with they root. Like a tree breaking up the sidewalk but on a small scale intill the bridge is weak

What! Disgraceful! How disgusting that they cut it down! Thankfully our council has planted creepers on our flyovers and just keeps them in trim.

Wow... it certainly does (did) look like something from Land of the Lost... or H.G Wells time machine, perhaps. Great shots, Harry!
