Description
Captured 2/2/07, around 7:10 AM, about .65 mile/1.046 kilometers from my hectic habitat.
This feathered old dude looks mean and just spoiling for a fight. Hooted something about territorial imperative. It's a wonder it let me get that close for a portrait.

An excellent capture of this fierce-looking creature of the garden, my dear! I don't think I could have resisted a couple shots of him, either. Nicely done! Hey, so THAT's where he went! He used to live on my dad's pontoon boat at Lake Havasu, to keep the smaller birds away. My dad sold the boat, so I guess this guy had to find work somewhere else.
