Description

morning all :o) well here we go again .tanker drivers on strike for more pay because shell are making £1.3 billion a month profit and garages will be dry within 24 hours .we are paying in excess of £1.31 a litre for diesel which is nearly £6 a gallon .a barrel of oil is at record highs so will still be putting our fuel prices up and bleeding us dry in more ways than one ,so i put this image up to calm myself down and everyone else for that matter lol :o).. i think this image does have a calming effect as its really easy on the eye .this was just a practise shot from the garden before i cut the grass and i really like it .its been my desktop pic for about 2 weeks .if you look closely you will see max`s teeth marks where he has a go at reminding the grass needs cutting lol :o) thanks for looking and take care mick

I understand your soft upsetness about petrol/diesel. We have uprising here too down under. 2 bux for a litre not realy makes life easier when a car eats 14l on 100 but looking your tender capture actually I can forget cars and troubles for a while. Realy nice green color what is good for a soul.

Excellent capture mate, I have never driven, so I can't complain about fuel costs from my own perspective, but having said that, it will still affect people like me, who will still pay, an ever increasing food bill, I think it's time Brits took to the streets and made parliamnet listen, then something may be done about the P**s taking that is going on in this country, especialy from a paliamentary point of view, it's stuff the people while we have a good fiddle going, there I have had my moan for the day, and you are spot on the image calmed me down :)

Indeed a soothing shot. so you've put a little Zen on your desktop? :-) I am paying not so much as you for gasoline but more than I've ever paid and never in my life did I think it would be this expensive at $4.56 a gallon. Now more than a gallon of milk and the milk will last 3 days before its all gone where the gallon of gas is blown out in one trip to the grocery store and back!

The price of petrol is not much different at approx $12.00 US for a gallon, especially when I can remember going to the garage for eight gallons of petrol and getting change from a pound, two shillings and five pence per gallon, from the Little One Service Station at Entwisle Road, 1967/8. We shuddered at a £1.00 per gallon in the early 70's just prior to decimalisation, 1971 came and went out with price rises all over due to scrapping £sd and going for decimals instead. We used to have 12 pennies in a shilling twenty shillings in a pound, that was slashed to 5 pennies to a shilling and 100 pennies to the pound. Then they turn round and tell us its an easy and fairer system; yes it is for them, the governmaent find it much easier to fleece you. It hasn't calmed me down yet Mick give it another couple of hours mate. I stopped working due to ill health three years ago, I have just got another letter off the tax man saying I underpaid tax for 2005/6 and I owe them another £399.00 pounds, I was on emergency tax on my pension for the allowances for the previous year, I finnished paying that in April.......... Right rant over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not really but... Excellent capture mate, I'm getting calmer now, I have ben back and viewed it several times so the blood pressure is nearly normal now. Lol. Superb work, tell max he needs to chew carrots and crisp fresh fruit instead of grass. Bravo!!!!!
