Description

This was going to be "Watch Out; Gestapo About!" but I thought I'd do a before and after instead. I found the first image to clutered with modern things so I took them out, this one is pretty straight forward. I had the wall as a blank canvas, it did originally have an old yellow luggage truck in it so first off that went. It was then just a small matter of cut and paste the figures from one to the other, a bit of tarting up(dodge burn clone) and Bob's your uncle as they say. This one was a lot easier than the previous two with the same wall in the background though I must say. Thanks for stopping by for a look see, and for any comments you care to make. Good, bad or indifferent I don't mind, cause it shows that the picture has touched you in some way. I believe that is what every artist/photographer wants, for their image to reach out and touch someone somehow. It's Friday, so have a nice weekend now.

You may have kept their shadows I think the color would work well. Good work

Is he demonstrating some kind of new method of getting people to "sing like a canary" by painfully grabbing the nose lol ? Great demonstration by yourself here Jeff of changing the background to make a more true to the time image with all the public about. you showed on you last upload how it became near impossible to capture without modern the day public in the shot.

Great work on this, although I do agree with the other two comment about the shadows, the lack of shadows make the subjects look like they are floating, a shadow anchors them to the ground Hugs

Great to see how you do it Jeff! They do look quite hilarious levitating like that, though! You could have called this pic 'Beam me up, Scotty'! When I'm teaching drawing, folk neglect the shadows and the objects aren't anchored as sylki comments above. Anyhow, enough of this criticising, who am I to comment when I can't begin to do what you do!!!! As the saying goes, "If you can't do it yourself, Teach!"

Nice work, my friend! I've another bit of feedback regarding the shadows ... make sure they'll look realistic! Putting the people in front of a wall WITH the shadows would make me wonder how the shadows got there when they're standing in front of an apparently high wall. Angle of the sun, and all that.

Hours of fun to be had with photo manipulation. I would have kept the scene to midground and just replaced the cluttered background the shadows do give depth to the image as commented before. Forgive me but I could'nt help but think of Herr Flick from Allo Allo when I saw the guy on the right. Excellent!

Very cool ... but I agree with some of the other comments that the shadows should have been retained ... at least small ones. :-) Well done.
