Description

This took a shamefully short amount of time to make; it's just a different version of "this is not happening again" (same footprints/dunes but a different color with different clouds). There's alot of variety that can be achieved through small changes. In a macro photograph, if you change the angle of the camera or the focus just a little bit you get a completely different shot. In photomerges, if you mess around with just a couple of key elements you can get a new feeling out of it. The person walking in the desert is gone, but where did they go? I'm not clever, just fooling around. Credits: Clouds by Cheryl Empey Dunes by ngould Footprints by DoortenJ See you all later, and thank you for stopping by. EDIT: i shouldn't be assuming people's gender identities. i apologize. edited to fix that. also edited out my use of the word "mutation" that seemed bigoted and gross. sorry.

yeah, just fooling around...but Warhol did that all his life. He grew up around Eastern Orthodox icons, pictures of the saints & prophets of his parents' faith all over the walls, which formed some strange "series" to him. Those images stuck deep inside him, and he wound up pursuing image-variations all his life. Likewise, I think if you had 40 parallel lifetimes, you'd spend one of them just sitting with images 24/7, and coaxing things out of them without end. Full-size is a must with your images, and this, full-size, is a tranquil sweep, all flesh & sand tones (they color the clouds too), and a quiet bleached sky. An emptying piece, unlike some of your manipulations which are intense or very full; simple, nothing complicated, "quick" as you say, but restful. And I love how you've used this sand in other works. The footsteps, btw, tell me this is a journey into inner space. At some point we leave our bodies behind and lose ourselves in a quiet expanse...as I probably said elsewhere, lotta space inside you. It goes on for miles...
