Description

The picture quality isn't as good with this upload but it was a very cloudy day, all my images were very dark. Also this was the first time that I had tried a RAW picture and to be honest I don't know if I'm converting correctly etc. I noticed there was lots of noise on the images and almost impossible to get rid. All a learning process lol. Anyhow this was uploaded today to give a better idea of how tall these are with two Yellow vans parked up close by.

Awesome to see so up close. I have seen many of these out west, if they can reduce air pollution and global warming I am ALL for them. Great photo Alan!

Well I guess this answers my question very well Alan :)..Fantastic demonstration of the size, Geeez, but these things are huge!!!!, I am no expert with the RAW thingie either Alan, I got some noise in mine, and there was a tool in Adobe RAW to remove it, but I saw little difference when I used it, so I used noise reduction afterward, maybe someone who knows can help out?...Great capture mate, and thanks for the illustration :)

Excellent pov Alan, I don't know if you planned it but you can just make out Peel Tower on Holcombe Moor, close up to the right of the wind turbine and of course the TV mast at Belmont. I am in agreement with idea but would much sooner have one in my own back yard than these huge monsters blotting the landscape. I would fit solar panels on my roof but the yobs round here would just throw bricks at them, I can't put them to the rear as I'm south facing. Superb work mate, I still haven't been near to them. Bravo!!!!!

I am so used to viewimg these from the air that the scale reference is useful. Interesting view

Quite huge these things, but maybe better than all those huge Pylons all over the place.. They do tend to have these in large groups in out of the way places which is my only concern as these are often hard to come by these days. Raw Shooter Essentials is great for Raw if you can still get this free one..

Excellent image, this really does show the scale very well. When your consider what it takes to construct one of these, it's actually quite amazing, but they do tend to muck up the landscape when huge farms have hundreds of them strung across the countryside. A really fine shot!

And do you also have the problem with these turbines chopping up birds? Our are often reviewed since they sometimes whack several raptor-types and other misc. birds that get in the way. Awesome!

guess your iso was high too so you would get gran unless your shader speed was high. lot of things to think about in low lighting but a photographer have to learn to shot in all type of lighting cool looking and they are big

definitely gives a sense of size. excellent capture. you may be able to get a free conversion software from your cameras manufacturer. I have been able to shoot in raw for several years but do not because it drastically cuts down on the amount of pictures you can put on your card and takes up space on your hard drive
