Description
During the last real engagement of Humanity's First Interstellar War a pair of raiders hit a transport and a pair of escorts. The fight was the only time ships truly engaged in a close-up brawl in that war. The missiles have all be fired, and the raiders have closed is as they have damaged two of the three, and combined their weapons to strike a severe blow to the transport ship. The damaged escort has missed on the return volley, possibly due to the damage received earlier.
This battle had a great deal to do with ending the war, as everyone was horrified at how ugly the fight turned.

These ships were modeled and rendered in Bryce 6, planet, space and compositing all in Photoshop CS1. Explosion effects were also done in Photoshop.
