Description

At the very end of the war now known as "Humanity's First Interstellar War" a real ugly encounter took place that perhaps frightened the belligerants enough to seriously negotiate an end to the fighting. Most of the war was skirmishes as each side was trying to work out the tactics of combat in space, as well as a lack of true purpose-built warships; but this was different. a pair of escorts found themselves fighting a pair of missile-carrying ships. Their efforts to counter the missiles lured the raiders in closer, and eventually a brawl occurred as the ships blasted away at each other from nearly point-blank range. This is early in the engagement, and a missile is hit dangerously close to its target. The raiders are closing in behind waves of missiles. --------- The ships were built and rendered in Bryce (you've seen these models before, I admit) and the effects, starscape and planet are all created in Photoshop, as was the compositing. Thanks for taking a look, and comments are always welcome. I never know with these combat scenes, should I classify this as "violence"?

Cool sci-fi scene...a lot of detail in those models. I would love to use some of your model space ships in one or more of my Terragen space images....how about a collaberation...your Bryce ships and my space landscapes? I would be honored :) P.S. There is no violence in space...only reality :)
