Description

A promise from the Army Chief of Staff to President Franklin Roosevelt after the attack on Pearl Harbor. In March of 1942 the Yorktown class USS Hornet CV-8, with a deck load of sixteen Army B-25 bombers, that were launched up against 40mph winds and choppy seas. The Army bombers led by Colonel Doolittle barely cleared the water as they drop off the front of the flight deck. The bombers went on to attack various targets in Japan, but since they had to fly an extra two hundred miles, most of the planes went down in or near China and the crews bailed out. Jacob Deshazer in the last bomber was one of the crewmen captured, and held in Japan until the end of the war. Jacob read The Bible cover to cover for three weeks straight, received The Lord Jesus as his personal savior, and applied the knowledge he received to overcome his situation and then return to Japan to spread the Gospel! These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
