Description

This bird was displaying on a dull day. If ever you have seen them doing this, it reaches a climax with all the feathers shuddering very quickly. As it was so dull the shutter speed wasn't very quick, the vibration of his tail has given motion blur recording the flurry. His body which he keeps still is sharp, providing a great contrast. I was pleased to have captured the motion, if only due to conditions. So poor light can be a plus sometimes! I hope you like this short break from my wild flower project?

I used to live in a small town that had a Peacock Farm just a couple blocks from the center of town. Those birds would roost everywhere and I saw this and other interesting behavior from them. This is an awesome shot.
