Description

This is #11 in my Hobo series: It depicts the hobo riding on the platform on the end of a grain car. During my hobo days, I rode this way only once. The letters YRK oin the car are the reporting mark of a local railroad in the town where I live, called the York Railroad (formed a few years ago by the merger of two other local railroads, Yorkrail and the Maryland & Pennsylvania RR.) I made the grain car in 3dsMax, and made the texture in Paint Shop Pro. Set up in Poser, rendered in Bryce and postworked in PSP.

I think you have the ambient setting on the wheels and axles too high. Above 20% is too much and sometimes comes from the import. Maybe on the rails too. Then the suspension (where are the coil springs?) is too black without a gray or brown specular to make it not so cutout. Only my opinion and you will see plenty that go toward what you have here. The overall hobo theme continues to intrigue. The life is a victory over oppression.

Thanks for pointing out the missing springs (they didn't survive the import into Bryce). Fixed in postwork
