Description

This image is an attempt to depict the first time I ever rode on a train. It's set outside Flagstaff, Arizona, on the ATSF. I'm the one with the orange backpack. The flatcar is a modified version of the one from the Baument CD. The trailers are modified versions of one that I downloaded somewhere a long time ago. The trees and cactus are from the 3dPlants CDs.

I have enjoyed the songs of Woody Guthrie that come from his years of jumping freights. Now I would bug you about the handwheels for the brakes on the ends of the flat. Coming down off the Sierra Nevada one needs to set just a tad of brake on every car to they won't bunch up on the compressor car behind the engine and so they draw out straight on curves. It's a role play I have from meeting the legal VP's of both the Santa Fe and Southern Pacific. Those trailers look Canadien with the spread axles. CN now has an office here after taking over Grand Trunk & Western and C & O. (Has had since at least 1991)
