They always seemed toothless next to a Buick. The overall effect was something delicate and pretty. This was before I even dreamed of driving so mechanical matters were as simple as drives in a 40 Chevy North 200 miles or East 400 every 3-6 months. That had ended in 1949 so 1951 is something I see only looking back. This is certainly the way it came from the factory with no kid stuff for an auction.

Terrific model! I had to chuckle at Tallpindo's "toothless" comment because I always thought the Chevs were prettier and less intimidating than the Buicks of that era. Even though both car makes used a lot of the same body panels, the Buicks always scared me as a child with their "maneater" grills.
