Description
This was done out of a similar Chevrolet Panel, which in turn was created from a pickup bodystyle.
The studio setup consists of four white-to-black planes distributed around the model and a VRay Dome light with a small amount of GI. The "glow" behind the car was added in Photoshop.

Excellent model!

As usual, when I see one of your classic car or truck models it's as if I could just walk into the picture, kick the tires, honk the horn, and pop the hood!! Love all the authentic details. If it's on the original I have faith that it will also be on your model.

Superb reproduction- beautiful as well. What nostalgia! Perhaps one day you'll tackle the 1960 GMC pickup- red, like the one I had when I was 19. Astonishing work as always.

I sometimes have issues where my memory goes, "beep!" I think the grille is either too flat or too wide and the front fenders are not long enough front to rear. How you would adjust this without changing the hood at all is the puzzle. That is when I put a model away for a while. Character, design, details all are well represented in all of your models. I'm not a photographer and maybe that is why I am the only one who worrys about how it is remembered.
NURMer
True, tallpindo. My work is like sculpting from references. I don't pretend to be 100% accurate. Months, even years i may spot some incorrection on a model and try fixing it. The original Chevy model might be wrong in the proportions you pointed out, and this was carried over to this GMC model. Thanks for the crit! Crits push us forward.

Excellent work. I love those old panel trucks/vans and you did a great job capturing this vintage feel.
NURMer
Thanks brschmidt I have tweaked the grilleto a more "veed" look. The result can be seen at http://www.palat.com.br/cars.html.
