Description
One of the most eerie and beautiful places I have ever gone to is Monument Valley, which is part of the Navajo Nation Reservation located in Arizona. Shown here is a sunset photo of the Twin Buttes of the Valley ("the Mittens"). They have developed iconic status, mostly because they have appeared in many television programs, commercials, and Hollywood movies, especially Westerns.
What an awesome sight to watch the colors change on the face of these most amazing rock formations, which are the remnants of millions of years of erosion. The only landmark that rivals this one in magnificence is Spider Rock . Click on the photo below to see a close-up.
