Description

Since tomorrow is the summer solstice, I wanted to catch the full moon tonight. Taken 2.5 hrs. ago at 10:00 p.m. on June 18, 2008 and my first ever moon photograph. 20% crop, f/11, 400 mm, 1/8 second. Slight levels, contrast, and USM. Thanks very much for looking.

You did a great job, much better than my first try last week, I have a lot to learn about this type of photography...got a nice early even shot but not one as great as this one...the frameing makes it really stand out...

Beautiful shot. We couldn't see it here, in Hawaii. Too cloudy this year. I did get it last year. Aloha

I keep meaning to do a moon shot, but the times I remember I open the door and there is nothing but cloud cover. Lol. One of these days or nights I will get it right. As PJ says 'A Stellar Shot', I have always associated stellar with the moon and stars, so this one couldn't fail to be stellar really. #;0) Excellent capture Maria, just one question, where are the stars? Superb capture, I hope mine is half as good when I get one. Bravo!!!!!
