Description

I took these fotos as we approached the San Francisco Airport. They start north of SF, make a big turn west and south, come over the coast, down to San Jose, then head into the airport. I believe that's the San Mateo Bridge (either that or the Dunbarton, I can never remember!).

Absolute excellent! Really an extraodinary collage... You know what Leonardo da Vinci once said? "Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk this earth with your eyes turned skywards..." And that is how I feel about flying.. :-)

Excellent presentation - I can't tell from the picture which bridge it is exactly, but if it's the southernmost one it's the Dumbarton. Usually the color of the water can tell you, since it's more silty down there, and I think it's shallower, too. Nice work!

I'm not sure about which runway you had but I always swallow hard when we land at SFO because the approach is from over the Pacific Ocean! The runway starts only feet into the mainland so you just know your plane's wheels aren't going to catch solid ground until the actually do. LOL

I got dizzy just trying to look at this lot Marilyn, quite technical shots actually, you can see the flaps in operation. Starting off level with the wing then dropping a bit on approach to full flaps on landing. They really do help with slowing the aircraft down. Excellent collage. Bravo!!!!!

Wow I'm just glad you're back on the ground. Amazing shots from the window of a plane.

Short of a movie clip, this is a magnificent sequential collage of shots depicting your approach and landing on the airport strip, Marilyn! And, lest we forget, lots of work on your part creating this wonderful composition.
