Description

Hierarchies Templars In the hierarchy among the troops, the highest corresponded to the gentleman, after the sergeants were escuderos and, with them wearing different uniform; robe or cloak brown or black, short, with the red cross in the left shoulder. The priests did not constitute separate group. Although dressed in black, chaplains Templars did the same life of the knights. Finally there were the brothers of trades and crafts and bred freely contracted for the service of the parcels: nurse-apothecary, baker, gardener, etc.. The knights and sergeants were mostly illiterate, as it used to be much of the population, including the noble class. Those who knew tended to rely ascend to positions of responsibility.
