Description

Hi thanks for stopping by for a look! 'Pair of Deuces' was done for my father as a Father's Day gift. He's a big '32 Ford fan and I thought he'd dig it. DAZ Studio render @ print resolution - the original is ~2400x1920 took about 8 hours on my quad core system. Postwork in Photoshop CS2 I printed it at 8x10 and presented it framed. Went over well. The cars are both the '32 Ford available from DAZ. I tried to differentiate the red and black deuces by presenting two different takes on the hot rod concept. The model is a little dated & low resolution - if you're considering it you should be aware that it's pretty low poly by today's standards and will *NOT* take subdivision well. I think I'm eventually going to have to build my own, but until then... I also did a lot of work on the materials in this image. The paint finish on both cars started out with Marianne Gilliand's "supershine" shaders with additional tweaks. I made the bump maps for the slicks on the red deuce in photoshop. Setting is the 'White Room' available from the Dreamlight members club. I'm continuing to develope the Uber-Environment light version of White Room and you can see it here. I hope you've enjoyed this little excursion into auto-eroticism. As always, your comments and constructive critique are most appreciated.

WOW - what a brilliant render - the resolution of the model doesn't appear to be relevant as the image has impact and precision - the reflections are excellent as well - in short BRAVO

Nice render. I like how you did make those cars different and materials too :) Something that bothers me are shadows. By some reasons I can't percieve that picture as realistic due to those shadows.

SophiaDeer gave me a render she made of a deuce. Later I made my own. Be careful you never say it "looks like a Ford"
