Description

Last weekend I went to Barcelona, Spain, with my wife Marie-Therese (mtc) and a group of our town, and we visited several places, particularly the creations of Antoni Gaudi. I hope to come back with other photographs taken during this trip, and I will give you then more details than today. We climbed in the towers of the Sagrada Familia Temple, where I saw these stone doves. I was really upset by the image of souls of deceased people who could then see, without body nor sense organs, the livings’ world. Immediately I felt very sad when I thought to our beloved friend Valerie Ducom, who died just one week ago. Valerie was so young, so talented, so kind with everybody here, and also she was such a beautiful woman. Spain was also her country. Her too short life was full of positive meanings because of her great qualities, so she will be welcome in her today new existence. For peculiar reasons I am really sure that human existence doesn’t stop with the death of the body. When death occurs we simply go to another world which is entirely different, the "other side of the mirror" as said the singer Julos Beaucarne after that her wife had been knifed to death. Today I was only willing to share with you my emotion.

If you want to comment, I appreciate as always, but please try not to say simply that it’s a well done image…

Excellent composition, and a beautiful pov. I really like how this came out. And although I don't know what happens after death, if anything, I do know that science dictates that energy can not be destroyed, only dispersed. And it is such a sad situation with Valerie, she was so young and talented. She will be missed

Une prise de vue magnifique, presque céleste, de cette Sagrada Familia que j'ai visitée aussi. Rendre hommage à Valérie avec le talent fantastique de Gaudi et cette perspective inédite qu'apporte ta photo, est un acte bien inspiré et empli d'émotion. Je partage aussi les mots et cette foi en une vie parallèle et désincarnée...

That is quite a touching essay Edouard and wonderful photo too. The POV is breathtaking ... I absolutely love Gaudi's fluid work. I think the passing of Valerie has touched most of us on Renderosity. Your thoughts present a most fitting and heartfelt eulogy. Well done.

Very heart felt and meaningfull dedication, the doves looking down on our world is a overwellming image and very true in my mind of the people we miss dearly, But most are selfish and think we have lost them but to thier souls it is a new and exciting adventure and the thoughts of them from us make them live forever in our world.great photogragh...

Nice thoughts. Some of the people who know me better on this site, will understand that I believe in reincarnation of the soul and spirit. I know I have lived before and I am sure the dead will live again. A friend of mine works as funeral director and in the last few weeks he has had to present two dead babies to their parents in the Chapel of Rest and also one of his schoolfriends, aged 23, a mother with five children to her family. The death of anyone is a terrible thing, regardless of further life in a different realm or back in this one. In death, the people left behind have a tough time and it is in that very thing that faith must be allowed to breath. It is all a cycle.
