Description
This is a Julia set fractal, rendered in 3D using distance estimates for height values.
It's rendered with the "camera" very close to the subject, to create distortion that makes it look like petals radiating out from a flower.
The fractal was generated in FractalWorks, a high performance fractal renderer for Macintoshes.

Wow! All I can say.... but to have achieved this from a simple fractal is amazing. Your postwork is a credit to you. Well done!!

Thanks everybody for your kind words. Shemia, There's no postwork in this image. It is a single layer, directly out of the FractalWorks program. I picked the source point for the Julia set and the magnification, set the adjustment levels for the height values, picked colors, and set the camera position for the 3D view. My program did the rest. Duncan
