Greetings Helle, It is interesting to note that such a structure still stands 190 years later when so much of what has been build since no longer is around. Thank you for sharing. egmont

What a splendid bridge and great shot, very similar design to some of our old bridges in the UK. We are having terrible weather this weekend, very strong winds and rain.

a beautiful play between the stark white sky and the intensely detailed bridge and beautiful water. You've brought out the wonderful decay of the bridge's stone, the wonderful decay of mold and other growth that grows on stone near water. And the water here has an almost silver-leaf look, it's so smooth. And the grasses also stand out in great detail. It's a lovely shot, Helle, and a reminder that bridges—especially old bridges—are alive, not merely 'stone'. And that they speak to us like old sensitive friends.
