Description

The front of the Experience Music Project building in Seattle, Washington. Architect: Frank Gehry The Experience Music Project houses a museum of popular music history, as well as the Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame. One of the permanent exhibits pays tribute to local Pacific Northwest musicians, and includes memorabilia from Bing Crosby, Heart, Sir Mix-A-Lot, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Queensryche, to name a few. One of Seattle's most famous native sons was Jimi Hendrix, and there have been Hendrix exhibits at the EMP since it opened. Jimi Hendrix gained fame with a band called "The Jimi Hendrix Experience." Their first album was entitled "Are You Experienced." .......... Information gleaned from the Wikipedia article on Jimi Hendrix as well as their article on the EMP in Seattle, and the EMP/SFM website.

This building must be quite something to see 'in toto'. Your narrative made a fascinating read also. All very impressive.

" 'Scuse me while I kiss the sky"This whole building celebrates the sky, the outdoors, maybe the worldI am so glad I got to see it. You caught it beautifully here, not easy, given its size and shape!! Purple Haze was in my brain, lately things don't seem the same, actin' funny but I don't know why 'scuse me while I kiss the sky. Purple Haze all around, don't know if I'm coming up or down. Am I happy or in misery? Whatever it is, that girl put a spell on me. Purple Haze was in my eyes, don't know if it's day or night, you've got me blowing, blowing my mind is it tomorrow or just the end of time?

Well, someone had a lot of experience wielding their tin shears on this panoply of sheet metal, Tara. If nothing else, it is unique to say the least. Other than that, great shot with great clarity and contrast, my dear friend!
