Description

Most spring mornings bring along this little dude with whome I enjoy a good chat. This morning was cold and damp, and my friend seemed a little spacey and lethargic. So we can both forgive his unsettling rant. "What's with the title?" he asked. "'Bumble Bee'? Do you think I 'bumble' through life, 'bumbling' from flower to flower, a 'bumbler' to my fellow bees? According to your aviation experts, we shouldn't even be able to fly! Now tell me, which one of us looks like the idiot?" "Dude, chill out," I said. "I'm just having a cup of coffee and a cigarette. But I get your point." "Do you? 'Bumble' is like the N-word to us. You think we're stupid and docile just because we don't chase you around like Killer Bees -- 'Killer Bees' -- now THERE'S a name that commands respect." "Okay, okay, I hear you. How about, 'Humble Bee.'" Sipped my coffee and took a puff, and hoped he was thinking of flying away. "Now that I can live with," he agreed. "Guess I won't sting you. Today." Like I say, he was cranky from the cold and dampness, so please forgive his demeanor. He's usually quite a pleasant chap.

You are one of a kind, my friend :) I giggled at reading your little story, so heart warming and most cute and creative! Your captures are always so fascinating and taken with such perfection, precision and care... and this is so evident through your presentations. The composition is so crisp and sharp.... I'm amazed and totally in awe! He does look so soft and furry; it's easy to forget that he has a stinger!!!! DOF is superb......... needless to say. Excellent macro!
