Description
As I have had a lot of interest shown in the “Good Friday” Fractal I thought I might upload the one I did for Easter Sunday 2008 to follow the first one.
I didn’t have as much time to consider the image as much as the last. However I wanted to focus on the main theme of the day. The bearing of what this day meant. I am not very Theological and I didn’t want to ‘mess’ with that as I am certainly not qualified or knowledgeable enough to go into that area.
However, the basic fact is that at Easter, the purpose of its significance is that through this event, the redemption of mankind with “The Creator, The Divine, was made in the Christian faith.. I took this as a celebratory theme. And when I absorbed myself in how and what it took for this to occur, it made me very humble.
In this image the central part is the Sunrise, brought about by The crucifixion.
Theme… ‘Sunrise’ of hope redemption for all man-kind..
I used the same Fractal and changed a few things. The colour of the ‘fish’ image is still white. Its surround is a warm soft colour to symbolise the theme, its comfort.
I put a real sunrise in place of the other image rising over a house. Of course, the house is a symbol of your home. A very precious place for all. So we have this sunrise happening over a home, a special place, as it houses your family, speciasl to most.
Yes the Crucifixion is still there if you look. But its “in hand” so to speak, following on from the Good Friday Image.
I never thought much of this image like I did with the first. I found the first image couldn’t be over shadowed except with a sence of “Love” for us and the things we hold so precouse in our lives.
Again, I emphasize that this is an Artists attempt at displaying, expressing an event in history.
It is not a religious statement or intended to offend or promote any faith.
Now I think I will go back to other subjects and leave this area for the ones that know and understand it to a greater extent to myself.
Thank you for your comments and sensitivity to my work.
