Description
This shot has all the visual ingredients that tend to overpower the senses and take you away as you walk along a mountain stream - crystal clear water, a rocky stream bottom, hills that surround you in every direction, trees every f'nwhere, and of course a blue sky with puffy white clouds. . . . Dreamy. . . .
And then while strolling along the bank there's also the thrill of all the non-visual stimulation - the smell of the clean water (yes, clean mountain water has its own scent!), the sound of the wind and the birds, and the ever present sound of your sandals as you walk along the stones on the shore or wade through the water.
This shot looks a bit abstract because all the visual elements, other than the water and the rocks on the bottom of the stream, are opposite reflections on the water. But that's often the way it seems to be for me; a hodgepodge of various stimuli that somehow work extremely well together. Add to that the presence of my photography buddy and I'm overbooked for sure.
This was taken a couple of weeks ago when Leah & I spent a short weekend in the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas. She posted a few too. This one is my 4th post from the trip. The previous one was uniquely titled Ozark Mountain Stream. Had to dig really deep on that title. Never said I was a writer.
Sheeesh, I went too long again! Thanks to those of you who read all this ramblin'.

My favorite kind of place! Places like this help me to recharge my mental batteries. Funny thing; Mark Twain didn't really consider himself a writer, but a story-teller. I would say that your words go very well with your pictures to tell a story. Beautiful pic.
