This Spitfire made an appearance at a local airshow last weekend. What a beautiful plane. Of all the planes there this to me looked like the one that would be the most fun to fly.

nice shot. as debbielove says, it looks like a later model with the Grffon engine. it appears to have a teardrop cockpit ? unfortuately airshow aircraft dont always appear in accurate paint jobs...

Oh ! the growl of a Merlin engine, this is a great capture.Probably a MKVI, as the Griffin needed a 5 blade prop, but I could be wrong.Still an excellent image.
