My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Once again an excellent idea and presentation! I don't think I've ever seen anyone show a picture of the shadow - great work!

I remember when it was built they said it was one of the "new" eight wonders of the world. An incredible structure. I'm hot to see this thing. I imagine the restaurant is not cheap...

Oops...Vertigo here....lol I'm glad you guys did go up there. Must be a thrill... Excellent shot. Aloha

32 foot bolts, eh? Sounds like we should be ordering a trainload of those, judging from the dire warnings of the imminent 'big one' we keep getting! These shots are excellent, and I especially love that you photographed the shadow! Thank you for the enjoyable read, too!

I visited there some time ago, what a great place! Here we have something similar, called the Sunsphere which was built for the 1982 Worlds Fair, I wasn't living here at the time. But it stands there forever as a reminder, and a landmark...

Only Several??? LOL. Wonderful collage. I'm glad you braved the crowds. Did you get to eat in the incredibly expensive restaurant as well?

Great shots here, you and I just went round and round taking the same pix--but wow, this is way better than mine!!

We were there in 1997, and we enjoyed that view. I don't remember eating at the restaurant, but I'm sure we made off with a souvenir or two. ;o) I love Seattle! Then we headed on to Canada from there. Excellent capture, it brings back some great memories.

Looking at the shadow it seems there is a flagpole or radio mast on the top, I would want to climb that as well Tara, to say I had been to the very top of the Space Needle. Lol.#;0) Two superb images, if I had to choose I would go for the shadow, and seeing how dear the food is up top, I can see the big M down below, so a burger in a bun would do me. Excellent images and narrative, I think you girls had as much fun as Alan and I do on our outings. I envy you though cause you had a full week of it. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
