Description
I felt sorry for this Peacock obviously trying to attract the female by his courting display but I can hardly blame her for turning her back on him. His poor feathers wet broken and bedraggled, I felt very much like him as I was just as wet. We saw a couple more Peacocks up and down the place but none of them looked as dishevelled as this one.
Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make.
May the sun shine down on those that want it and may the rain fall on the fires that are raging near PJ.

He's still very impressive despite looking a little ragged round the edges. I think she was just playing hard to get (like most of us women LOL!!) A great shot Jeff. Hugs xx

I got some shots of some of these beauties the other day, they sure are fascinating. Jeff I have been going through and organizing my photos and copying them to cds. And I had to laugh at how many RED barns I have taken pictures of, they must fascinate me LOL.... Have a wonderful day!!

His tailfeathers might be a bit bedraggled, but he's awfully handsome through the chest area -- and he's got the right attitude. Great capture!

zerzaust ... aber ein gesundes Selbstbewusstsein ... so eitel wie ein Pfau ruffle ... but a healthy self-confidence ... as vain as a peacock

Nothing a good stylist couldn't fix! I'm sure all he needs is a blow dry and a bit of sunshine to set him right. (Being a woman who knows a bit about men, however, I'll reserve judgment until I see the final result. Changing the male of the species is futile. If you don't like 'em exactly the way they are, you should move along!) Ahhh ... apparently another soapbox got in my way for a minute there! Did I remember to tell you I like your photograph? :)

Yes a poor display indeed by this male. I've also learnt that it doesn't pay to make flippant remarks about females Jeff so I'll keep my mouth tightly closed on that one. I must say that your shot makes this guys display look far better than it really was. I didn't think it was worth taking a full shot of him although I did later get a close up. nice one mate!

Some times you just have to make do with what you got. He may have better days ahead, lol. Great shot. BTW- I looked at pics of English Humbugs and you are absolutely correct. If someone was crazy enough to pull the legs and head off of a Pig Weed Beetle, what was left would definitely pass as one of the candies. Hmmmmm. Crunchy exterior shell and chewy insides. Sound familiar? LOLOLOL. Thanks for sharing. Lee
