A principal character from the City of Splendors, a Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms campaign set in Waterdeep. “The duel raged on, with Raven determined to avenge her humiliation, and Daeron clearly distracted by the charms her open vest revealed. As they fought, she found herself admiring his muscular form, and handsome features, the type of roguish, good looks that she could never resist. Finally, Daeron caught her basket hilt and snapped the rapier out of her hand. She reached for the dagger sheathed at her thigh, but she stopped as Daeron brought the tip of his blade to her throat, backing her up against a column. “Well,” she cooed seductively, “now that you have me, what are you going to do with me?” “What indeed?” he replied, and his free hand shot forward, catching her behind the neck. Pulling her against him, their lips locked, and this time there was no doubt that she returned his kiss. “I hope this means all that racket is over!” Raven broke the kiss, and looking passed Daeron shoulder was stunned at the sight before her. Casually leaning against a banister at the foot of the stairs, was a handsome moon elf… stark naked! “We’ll keep it to a low roar from now on,” Daeron replied over his shoulder, clearly amused by Raven’s reaction. Noticing the elf’s eyes lingering on her bared charms, she quickly pulled her vest closed. “It’s a bit late for that,” Caerden snickered. “The lest they could do is invite me to join them,” he said with feigned hurt as he turned to climb the stairs. “Wait!” Raven called after him, catching both men by surprise. With a wicked grin, she seized Daeron’s arm and pulled him toward the stairs…” An outcast from birth, Caerden's violet eyes reveal a dark family secret; his father was sired by a drow. The living proof of a stain upon the noble moon elven house's honor, he was unwelcome on Evermeet, even during the Retreat, and as left in Waterdeep as little more then a child when his family sailed west. Gifted with both sword and spell, he achieved the honored rank of bladesinger. But, though few humans recognize the taint of his lineage, elves mark it on sight and shun him still. Although he feigns indifference, Caerden desperately seeks to prove himself worthy of the Nightstar name, yet knows he will never be accepted by his family. Instead, he turned to those who foster the “true elven spirit”; the Harpers, and now the Tel Teukiia (Moonstars). I thought I had better end the narrative there, and leave the rest to your imagination! The third and final principal (player) character from my second pass through the City of Splendor characters.
