Description
Baby White Rhinoceros, only 3 weeks old.
The name of 'White' comes from the Afrikaans for 'wide' .
Hunted for their 'prized' horns, at the beginning of the 20th century The Southern White Rhino was at the brink of extinction. It is believed that perhaps only 30 surviving. By 1977 all international trade in rhinos and their products was prohibited. White rhinos were protected and have recovered to around 11,500 but almost all live in one country South Africa !

Excellent capture of it on it's own Alan, I know I didn't get one as good as this, mind you there were quite a few people jostling for position here at first. They were sheltering from the rain mostly I think.Lol. I might post Mum and babe tomorrow. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
