Description

Raising his front arms (legs?) like a conductor starting a symphony. Never seen this little fellow around here before. First person to ID this wins a free look at my next post, lol.

Sensational moment and capture! It does seem as though he is “directing” something or other…. It’s always great to see nature do it’s silly things that we are always too busy to stop and notice. What a tremendous capture of detail and texture! The wings are so beautifully defined as well….. You are an incredibly skillfull and masterful photographer and creator!

Stunning image of this Mayfly. They are aquatic except for mating when they emerge from the water and transform into this form for mating (after which they die). The eggs will be laid in water and the cycle repeats. A town about 90 miles Southwest of me (Shreveport, Louisiana) just had a major emergence. Thousands and thousands of them swarmed part of a downtown area there just this past week. They are harmless but rather bothersome when in such large swarms. I really enjoy seeing your posted images. You consistently present crisp, clean, sharp images that are well composed and interesting. Thanks for sharing. Lee
