Description

Sorry - I know this has been done many times, but I had to do my take on the theme anyway. I used the fabulous Cabaret outfit by Rebelmommy, using her shaders for hat, bustier, and shorts, but I replaced her shaders on the cane. The set has thigh-high boots, but I wanted to show the leg skin so I used different boots. The skin and eye textures are from Rebelmommy, her Kyrsten character, but I replaced the shaders with mine, using VSS. I did not use her morphs, I made my own. The hair is Actual Hair for V4.2 by MindVision-GDS, but I changed the shaders. The boots are by DigiCalimero, with shaders by me. I made the floor, drapes, and lights. For lights, I used an IBL probe of the Grace Cathedral (nice and dark) at debevec.org, as well as 3 spotlights with ray-traced shadows. The chair is a freebie by Adam Thwaites, with my own shader. Was the compression on her left boot, where the top of the boot meets her thigh, part of a morph, or did you add that in post, or what? Everything appears convincingly realistic, except for the chair. Something about the chair, be it the shader/texture, scale, or whatever, completely ruins the illusion for me. Also, I think the bump on the boots needs to be increased slightly to break up the specularity a bit more. I love her skin, it looks very good, and the posing is great.

Hmmm. I don't recall doing much intentionally to compress the boot. I fiddled with a few FBM's on V4 before I conformed the clothing and magnetized. I just opened the file again, and there is a Bendmorph on the boot and it was set to -2. This morph compresses the top of the calf. It must have done it on its own at some point, because I didn't set it. Maybe magnetize did it, or maybe the pose file that comes with the boots to change the foot pose (to fit inside the boot) did it. Interesting. One thing I know - these are awesome boots.
