gotta love the mcdonalds behind the chevy.... in 1956 my next door neighbor had that car in that precise color combination.... my dad had a ford same year, same colors... (not as cool, but cool none the less).... GREAT SHOT!!!

The mixed emotions of a 56 owner are shown here. It is really well preserved/restored and straight. Yet the weak sister reputation of the 265 in a 283 world has caused the hairy chested wheels to be added. I don't remember the 1956 as having both a shield and a v on the hood of the V-8 cars. That is this ones lesson. The one I remember was white and a Bel-Air with the previous owners initials in gold blocks above the door handles. What secrets did he add? It did have the Wonderbar radio. Now that is rocket science. (Wunderbar!!)

The 56's were kind of the forgotten stepchild with all the attention given to the 55's and 57's...This is a nice one...and a great shot..

Love your capture of the deep, rich paint job. Only anachronism (don't use that word often) is the lack of whitewalls. In the 1950s only little old ladies and cheap salesmen drove around without whitewalls. Now, today things are different... Bill
