For my first week (last friday) at the new job I decided to go out and see an installation and the products we work with, to get a better idea on what I'm designing.

The sun is pervasive. It has value when it seems dispersed. It has open value. Only when you try to run large motors or heating elements will you be disappointed with the output. This is a fairly mature era. The design has met it's goals. Now it is optimization that presents challenges.
