Description

Captured 6/21/08, around 7:15 AM, about .25 miles/.402 kilometers from my archaic abode. Will wonders never cease? Shown are ivy covered trunks, a rarity among palm trees, at least in my general vicinity. I was very fortunate that they were so close in distance from my place. The ivy is so neatly wrapped around the trunks I'm not sure if they are periodically maintained or if it's their nature to be so close fitting. Only two of the three trees are stressed in this collage because they had the most ivy. Lots of postwork went into this presentation, especially the cloning out of the adjoining trees in photos 2, 3 and 4, in order to eliminate any distraction from the prime tree in the center of the picture. Thankx for stopping by, and have a huge hump day of heartwarming happenings.

The sun has room for both of them. Even if they aren't symbiotic.

Ivy is close like that of what I see around here. this is wonderful to see but do not know if it good for the tree. I seen here where the ivy cover the whole tree and the tree dies. but a garder would know more about that. real cool shots and pov

Help....attack of the "killer" ivies. Never saw palm tree like this before. Actually I realy love the bright green color as crawling up on poor trees. Good one Harry you clever with cloning too, I don't see a trace of it.

Nice to see your palm trees again, and what a difference with the vines compared to your previous images! Unusual, indeed, and your post work is excellent, Harry!

The types of ivy I am most familiar with tend to grow close like that without any intervening pruning or fussing. (This is not meant to be the definitive work on ivy, however!) Wonderful captures, my dear! I especially like the last one. The pov is compelling. Excellent postwork, too!
