I'm a daughter, a sister, a mother, and a grandmother. Happily divorced, single to stay. But I'm here to say, one can survive heartbreak. It's not easy, extremely painful, but doable. In any case, life goes on. Oh, so often I've fantasized in my life about the many things I've wanted to do. While I may not get them all done, being a writer, I give them to my characters to do, and - hey... it is as good as done.
My world is at Amber Swann the place I hope to bring as a well-known publishing firm of quality IR literature. Yes, publishing is a major dream of mine, the one I'm working the hardest on. In my setting that up, I have completed quite a bit of writing to jump-start my experience in that. A trilogy under my belt, another one completed Aphrodisiac, I'm happy to say is now available as well. That's not all, I also have an ongoing, drama series called, The Beauty Of Man and Woman, better known by my readers as, Bomaw - you'll find them all at Amazon.com. Try the link if you wish to drop in there for a read.
So as you can see, I'm certainly working on making things happen.
Now, a bit about me...
BIO
Born in the USA. Greenville, Mississippi, then my life was in Chicago, Ill. Lived in Killeen, Texas for a few years, and then back to Chicago, and next Wisconsin for 12 or more years... and now, finally, my home is ??? stay tuned! I work at home now, and continue to build on that above dream! And if I play my cards right, perhaps one day, I'll find myself with a #1 best-seller! Time will tell!
Last but not least... I am working on Bomaw Volume 13 - which will be followed up by Saoirse - a historical surrounding the slavery of the Irish, Scot, and Yorkshiremen.
Stay tuned....

(So your daughter is an even greater critic than I am, eh?) ;-) 1) I don't see any interaction between the character and the background. If you merely intend to have Hope pictured in front of an interior picture, it's fine by me. If you'd like a suggestion for interaction, I'd pose her at that table, probably with a magazine, a cup of coffee, or taking fruit from the dish(?). Maybe even portrayed from another chair at that table, depending on the emphasis you want. 2) Somehow the rendering doesn't feel right. She does look good, especially the lips, but her skin looks somewhat plastic-like to me. I think that this is a shader matter, but I must leave that for others. 3) The background really appeals to me, but I have a feeling that it was composed using just the default camera, where use of a front and a side camera would have helped in placing things at correct angles. Well... hope this helps. :-)

Lovely portrait, great character, beautiful skin tones with nice hair and outfit. Just a very slight point and that is her lacrimal seem a bit pale for my eyes but excellent work nonetheless!!!

Okay my dear, hitting you hard. You acheived what you set out to do. Looks really 'real' to me. Beside being totally gorgeous!!! I love her entire face but those eyes grab me. Lovely skin texture is brilliant work. Bravo!!!!! 5++++++

Nice work!

Hit you hard? Nope, won't do it! Shoot, you just listed me as an inspiration. Brought about a much needed smile, thanks "M". I was suprised to see what textures you had used. Nice work adjusting the color. I have a tutorial image that I never planned to post that covers that using pwSurface and it's grand SSS and AO. I'll dig it up and post it, maybe it can help some with that realism kick you're on ;)

I liked the other Hope a lot but must admit this one is amazing. There's something about her eyes that really does bring a sense of realism to her, sort of like there is life within
LBAMagic
Excellent realism. Love here expression.

For D|S it's a beautiful portrait - Hope sure has pretty features, lush lips, bright eyes (may be a little too bright) I'm not really that good in the D|S mat area but there seems to be a lot of add ons in that department now. Good luck with your quest for realism - you are off to an excellent start

HEY MERCY!! She is a beautiful gal! I do have to say that her lips look luscious and fantastic! I however do feel as if her eyes are lacking something.. I think they are just too bright and glowing a lil much.. Try adding some bump to her skin. Her lips look as if you added some to them, try her body now... She looks too plastic around the lips.. If you need some help with the bumps just send me a message I would love to help you out!! Hope this helps....:)

She's gorgeous! I have to agree about the eyes, a little to bright, but other than that very realistic, wonderful render!
JosephineAu
She is lovely but I am feeling there is a bit too much contrast between the clarity of the foreground and the blurry background. Blurring is great for this type of thing but I just think .. maybe a little less blurred?
WhopperNnoonWalker-
what a beautyful lady

great work

I love the lips they look terrific! I think if you did this again with a different character that has maybe less than perfect flawless skin it would look more realistic. I personally love the image and wouldnt change a thing! ;) Good looks with your challenge.

I just stumbled across this and its very different. I used to work for a publisher as an illustrator and lay out artist and often did book covers. Not that it matters but I can see where you wnat to be (I think...) This is real to the degree here it doesn't try to be 'too real' if you see what I mean? The eyes and lips are perfect and the soft focus room works well. If you really wanted 'real' then you'd have to go with a skin texture that has slight flaws as shanpoo juts said. But it may take away from the feel you have- its tricky to get the balance here. Thats all I can add (not that its any help!) It's a great image, anyway! Dave

I arrived here a bit late, so I won't offer any critiques because those have been aired out already. I will say that I have seen quite an improvement over time -^ I don't comment much on you images because I can't seem to get into the groove with your style, but don't take that the wrong way.... You definitely have a unique style and it does look really good. Sorry for long-windedness ^^ You're definitely asking for advice from the right group of people, I have learned quite a bit from them just by viewing their artwork and reading about their techniques and such. On this image I'd say ace job! And don't give up!

Great work Like it a lot Carlos at vampires2.com

Wow, I finally get around to your gallery and you're asking me to be hard on my criticism. That's no fun! :( Well, I read everyone else's comments and they pretty much covered it. The light on the girl does not match the light in the background; it immediately takes away from the picture. Is the background actually part of the render or is it just a flat background jpg. image. Because if it is a jpg. image, that's your problem. You should have rendered the room and her together and you would have gotten a more realistic result. She might have been in the shadow but you can always highlight her with some point lights, etc. What you need to do is also go into your surfaces tab and bring down the glossiness of her eyes so that they don't dissappear in the spotlight? you are using to light her. It's too bright and making her eyes burn out. The lips look great but as Shannon said, the skin doesn't match. It's not real. Did you apply a slight bump map to give the skin a little texture for the light to capture? Also just turn down the light on her, it's way to bright burning out whatever detail might have been on her face in the bright light. Other than that, your character is very beautiful and has a nice expression that tells me something about her. You just need to bring the background and her together. Was that too hard of a critique? Sometimes people ask for criticism and then they can't handle it. You really do have a nice composition; you just have to work on the lights so you don't burn out the texture. I've seen some of your past work so I know you know what to do. :)

Excellent lighting and effects. Wonderful image.
mikosan3
Well, you know I love all of your work ;). However I do agree that the eyes are little too bright, but I love the rest. I'm not an artist but I like the lips and hair especially. Very nice work!
evoluzione33
It is a lovely image. I like the you blended the character into the background and the light is consistent throughout.
clam73
well done, the lips are terrific and fantastic details in full view, lovely model too......It'd be perfect if you put your girl in one interior scene and render together....anyway..... lovely poser, congrats!
