Description

The lady had a large pearl from the south seas, from Cook Island. She wanted a lemon colored gold and an older style designed and cast for her. This is the result. The dark pearls in background are Tahitian pearls and one from Cook Island may be called Tahitian in a general sense. The pearls from Broome, Australia are the large white pearls called South Seas pearls. Think Tahitian dark, South Seas light. The only photo setup at work is a sandblasted tea pitcher with a hole in the bottom for the lens, a round flourescent lamp and innovation. Considering the primitive conditions for a jewelry image, this one turned out ok.

Oh, this is FASCINATING! I love the way it turned out. It has such an exotic flare to it. Something old and different, Like a treasure found in a dusty old antique shop, hidden away in a box no one was supposed to look in. Wonderful.
