Description

The kids faces tell the tale. She eats the head first! First time for them to see a mouse being eaten by a bird of prey.(The mouse was dead.) The kids were facinated with this American Kestrel, our smallest falcon, and with the hawk and several owls brought to the campground for a park program.

Superb shot! I'm quite envious that you can take pics of kids without getting into trouble. I had a fantastic opportunity with my Dogwise team at a junior school last Monday, the children all excited and handling all the dogs, but no chance of getting parental release for pics. And of course, no record of the magic moments for the parents.... their loss in the end.

We would get a crowd of neighborhood kids when we fed our snakes. Kids seem to really be taken with feeding time. :-) Cool capture.

It amazes me how kids meet with nature these days at a much more advanced age than a 100 years ago. I love the demonstration being given.
