Description

I was trying to get a decent macro of these day lilies from my front yard when this bee decided to join the party. She only stayed long enough for one shot, so even though she's not as sharp as I'd like, this is the only one I have of her. Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

I looked up hoverfly, and I think Akemi is right. It does look like it has a fly's eyes, too.

Oh my gosh, the "sparkle" (gold-dust sounds good too)on the day lily is absolutely spectacular. And the iridescence on the wings is beautiful as well. I'm glad you posted something tonight. I miss you when you don't post.

Oh wow. This is great! The color of that lily is stunning, and the iridescence of the wings on your little friend is just amazing. Yeah ... too bad it isn't sharper. At full view and 400% I can see a tiny bit of blur. (Sheesh! Such a perfectionist. If this were in my gallery, you'd never hear the end of it!)
