Description

This wave is about 10-ft. high and a few surfers were using it. The bigger waves were further offshore, about 20-ft. high (not visible in this photo). Most surfers were out there. I swam through these waves, it was a lot of fun. But it was difficult getting out with the undertow. These kind of waves are nothing unusual along Oahu's Northshore during December. This picture was taken at Waimea Bay, Oahu in December 1983 and later scanned.
