Description
the red truck in the thumb is the same one on the other side of the bridge.of course the river is Red River dividing Oklahoma from Texas. the bridge was built in 1938 and not many left of this style. the river is very full. usually about 1/4 this size.depends on the dam of Texoma lake being open or closed. the left is looking west and the other to the east. I am on Texas side looking into Oklahoma
I ran out on the bridge to take the shots of the river then got off very quickly.as you can see there is no place for people walking
thanks for viewing and any comments.I am feeling better to night

Really nicely done! EXT!

The bridge has plenty of overhead clearance for being that old. I remember when the overpasses were raised to 13 ft 4 inches on all the interstates. Maybe that is why it lasted.

fantastic shot Richard, there's a bridge just like this one that crosses the Housatonic River in a town called New Milford (Connecticut) built around the same year and is still used daily.

Very well picked collage and presentation and the bridge in the center cleverly used to lead the eye into Texas!
