This is looking North. It can be really foggy in San Francisco, yet a few miles either North or South, the sun is shining. Click on photo below for what a clear day looks like (facing South).

The very first time I went into the city, I was wearing a backless, short halter dress. I nearly froze to death!!! Great shot, this bridge looks great from any angle!!

That's right ... forgot to mention that: Not just can it get pretty foggy, but the wind off the ocean can be bone chilling cold too! The operative dictum is: wear layers!! That holds for anywhere along the Central Coast, whether Big Sur, Monterey, or SanFran.
